It is well known that Sin Heng Kee undoubtedly serves up one of the most ingredient-filled delicious porridge in Singapore. In fact, if one were to google best porridge in Singapore, Sin Heng Kee would undoubtedly pop up on the list. Papa Slog is no porridge fan but after his first bowl, he has become quite the convert. We buy from the Hougang stall very frequently now and there is almost always a queue. If one wants to eat there, that can be an even bigger challenge because there are a limited number of tables and a hot piping bowl of porridge isn’t a meal that can be quickly consumed. Further, most of the patrons are elderly folks which will not be hurried to move along This is the interior of the shop. After one joins the queue to order (and the staff will usually ask if one wants to take away or eat in while one is queuing), one will then be given a number. Mama Slog usually crosses the road to do some grocery shopping if the queue number is about 20+ numbers away from the one show...
