What on earth is a slog, one might wonder, given that slog is a verb rather than a noun.
In fact, if one were to google, the definition of slog is to work hard over a long period of time. Perhaps then it now becomes clear that we, the self-named “slogs” are those who toil.
To be precise, we, The Slogs in this blog are an immediate family of four with the parents entrenched in the grind of hustling for the family (Papa Slog, Mama Slog) and two mini Slogs (Slog 1 and Slog 2) being school-going children.
As it is said that a picture speaks a thousand words, I present you with, for the purposes of self introduction, a picture drawn of The Slogs by Slog 2.
This picture was drawn several weeks ago before this blog was started so it might not be wrong to say that it can be said to be a rather accurate albeit unflattering one of The Slogs (especially of Mama Slog)
This blog is written by Mama Slog (aka Helicopter Slog) with the occasional input from the mini Slogs (aka Minion Slogs). Papa Slog (aka Chill Slog) might be referenced to or even quoted on the rare occasion.
This blog was inspired by Minion Slog 2 who after looking at the books she and Minion Slog 1 had done for the year (spring cleaning for the new year) said they are now authorities on what works and what doesn’t given they have done so many books. And because Mama Slog had once run a blog before, Mama Slog figured another blog might be the best platform to share the love around.
Disclaimer (because Mama Slog has been plying her trade in the world’s second oldest profession for a really long time) : Opinions rendered in this blog on matters are fair comments without malice and reviews of places/food/books/movies an accounting of experiences the Slogs have had.
